A truly special year for us is coming to an end and we want to conclude our tenth anniversary celebrations with a reflection on our future, between projects already underway, concrete commitments and dreams for the future.

New website and G-Silver Application

We have collected your comments, listened to the needs of our customers in order to improve our services and develop an offer that will be more and more in line with the requirements of the creators. Shortly we will be pleased to offer the possibility of ordering plated and customised products directly on-line.

Over the next year, the site will also be renovated to make browsing faster and to offer more features to customers who reach us by mobile or tablet.

Amongst our ideas for the future is to develop a dedicated application, an even more efficient and practical method for exploring our catalogue and managing your purchases.

G-Silver Green

Our concrete commitment: a better respect for the environment.

We have decided to take concrete measures to reduce our environmental impact, a promise to which we have named: G-Silver Green.
In 2020, our goal is to reduce the use of plastic in our packaging and in our daily professional life by 80%.

The switch to environmentally friendly packaging has already started, with new paper tape and new sachets made from corn, which we will use as much as possible for shipping our packages.
In addition, invoices for our orders will be printed on recycled paper.
In our daily lives we have reduced the use of plastic by reusing sachets and office materials and, for the coffee break, we have replaced disposable cups with ceramic cups.

By small gestures like reusing and using environmentally friendly materials, we are committed to helping save our planet.

 

New Offices

Between the boxes and chests, we are ready to move!

In the new offices, we have dedicated a large area to our showroom, a space in which to best accommodate customers who want to come and visit us to discover our products in person, receive personalised advice and get to know our team.

There will also be more workspace for us with a larger workshop in which we can assemble lots of new products and be able to adapt to the requirements of our new services.

We are excited to move our business to premises that meets our goals.

Closer to our customers

In 2019, we opened up to social networks to be closer to those who follow us and to offer other points of contact: we have traced the path and we want to continue telling our stories by developing this form of communication.

We have gone from strength to strength in the French market over the years and for the future our objective is to develop G-silver abroad by getting closer to European professionals and especially to the German market.

Amongst the planned events are roadshows that we want to organise in France and abroad, an initiative already experienced in October by participating in a meeting day between professionals of the sector organised by the BOCI.

The path we have travelled so far has brought us much: it has allowed us to learn, to think and to improve, and now we are looking ahead full of challenges and plans for the future.

During these ten years, our society has evolved constantly and with dedication. We have transformed an ambitious project into a reliable brand dedicated to professionals in the jewellery sector.

Our team has grown in number, along with our customers and collaborators. What we are today is the result of our work with our collaborators and the trust that our customers and partners have in us every day.

We want to look at ourselves through the eyes of those who have been choosing our products for their own business for years, so we asked some of our customers to answer a few questions : their first experience with us, how their business has evolved over time, and if we have somehow contributed to the growth of their brand.

We started by offering only a few products and over the years we have worked to offer more and more choice by gradually expanding our catalogue, which currently has about 2,000 products, findings and ready to wear jewellery.

Showing ourselves to the world: our campaigns

Each advertising campaign is a moment of reflection for us on what we do and what we want to communicate to the world.
We aim to capture all our energy and the movement that inspires us, pushing us forward, in an image.

Each image reflects our vision of the present and our commitment to the future.  The campaigns carried out so far reflect our evolution over time as well as the essence of our values.

2012 - The first campaign

Three years after the creation of our company, our e-commerce is in full activity, we want to reach specialised magazines and make ourselves known outside the digital world.

For the first advertising campaign we involve our Italian collaborators with the aim of creating a fresh image, representing the wide range of products offered to our customers, thus is born the first official photograph of G-Silver, a cascade of beads, pendants , clasps, finished jewellery and chains that, like a stream of creative thoughts and inspirations, floats 0n the forefront of Frida, our model for the occasion.

To create this image, each element is photographed individually and meticulously positioned, in order to set up a living and harmonious composition.

 

2014 - Beauty in precious details

In 2014, we believe it is time to work on a new campaign and create an image that represents what we have become and what we are committed to being.

We want to convey the care for the quality we ourselves put into our work, as well as the attention to every detail that our customers put into their own creations.

Our world, and that of those who choose our products, is made of a beauty that radiates in every little nuance, every form and every detail.

From the collaboration with a young mosaicist is born the motif that frames the face of Angelica, model of this campaign. the decoration is made by applying the beads from our catalogue, one by one, on her face.

 

2018 - Shaping inspiration

For our 2018 campaign we imagine a cosmetic that expresses both precision and refinement. At the core of the new concept lies the union of the creative gesture with the mastered use of technique. It's the balance between imagination and method.
Colour is used as an element with high visual impact and applied in regular and precise forms, as ideas that take shape through the care of every detail.

Rectangular shapes are drawn on our model Anca’s face.  Our colours and products are photographed in meticulously made compositions with silver elements that stand out between natural shapes and coloured bands.

Our event

On a hot September afternoon, as the sun shone upon the large windows of the Hôtel Mercure Vaugirard Porte de Versailles, in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, we were joined by our guests: our most loyal customers and curious newcomers.

The presentation of our products and new items in the afternoon gave way to the evening Cocktail Party, organised to celebrate our first ten years: an opportunity to meet up and get to know each other, to celebrate together a very important step for us.

We traced our story and projected the video we created for the occasion of an interview with Matteo Gemo, founder and CEO of G-Silver, and an account of our world through the past, present and future.
On this occasion, we also had the pleasure of rewarding the three winning projects of our Contest in collaboration with the AFEDAP training school.

The team and students from the AFEDAP school, after working on their projects over the last few months from the earliest drawings to the implementation of the jewellery, were reunited after the holidays to witness the long-awaited proclamation of the winners: we kept the secret until the end, we wanted it to be a big surprise!

In first place, Charmaine Gouled with her necklace called Same, same but different, the first runner up is Lucie Coatalen with Brise and finally in third place, Laura and Martine Feiereisen with Vide & plein, in their absence the prize was claimed by Caroline, secretary of the Afedap school.

Our contest and event allowed journalists, creative professionals and students to meet up.

We are happy to have had the opportunity to confront these young talents and to discover their creativity and their know-how.

We worked hard to make this event a special occasion and it was an immense joy for us to welcome all those who intervened, the curiosity about what we do, the smiles and friendliness, gave us a lot of emotion.

Pursuing the goal: the finalists of our contest

The last phase

The moment has come to evaluate the projects that will be awarded as winners of our first young jewellery designers contest.

In July, the students worked to shape the ideas that they had initially designed, described and imagined.

After receiving our products, each student or group of students, devoted themselves to their project by uniting team spirit, creativity and technique, resulting in six unique pieces of Jewellery, inspired by our G-Silver 10 years logo and our recent "Shaping inspiration" advertising campaign.

The vote

The vote will be voiced by professionals of the sector, able to evaluate the end product made according to their experience and vision. As for the first phase, our customer votes will be enriched by that of the technical jury, who will give their vote and comments on each project.

The three best pieces of Jewellery will be awarded by the purchase of their Jewellery creation and a voucher to spend in our online shop for future creations, with a fixed amount for first, second and third place.

 

From Wednesday August 21, the votes will be open to elect the three winners who will receive their awards during the event of Saturday September 7 in Paris: access the dedicated page to see all the Jewellery and express your preference.

We are excited and curious to discover the results of this stage and, in the meantime, we wish all the participants good luck!

Sharing moments

A moment for us

Celebrating our birthday means above all sharing this goal with the people who make G-Silver what it is today, contributing to its success and meeting the daily challenges.

Our team is a tight-knit, international team, which has grown over the years with the development of the G-Silver project: this month we wanted to dedicate a weekend to ourselves, away from the office and the daily routine, bringing our families together for three days full of activities and with a lot of relaxation.

 

The world around us

We chose an experience in contact in a surrounding place, with its nature, its traditions and its specialties.

In the winemaking Château Maravenne, during a weekend in early June in a summer climate, we were able to enjoy relaxing outdoors playing “La Pétanque”, the typical bowling game of southern France, a dip in the pool for the little ones and a tasting of local wines for the grown-ups.

The unique taste of food prepared together and a good glass of wine to accompany it: what more could you want?

 

Team spirit

On the Saturday, we tested our skills and our team spirit with an Escape Game in the vineyards, a game that follows the dynamics of our daily life: the importance of collaboration and the great value that everyone, with their talents and uniqueness, brings to the team.

In one hour and ten minutes, the winning team had solved all the riddles, an almost record time.

For the evening, we moved to the Port of La londe-les-Maures, for an evening meal overlooking the sea and a walk on the pier.

The return

On Sunday, the ultimate day of rest, we spent a morning of complete relaxation before saying our goodbyes until Monday.

We ended our experience with the joy of these moments spent together, the energy of the game and moments of calm surrounded by nature, to return to our work and our customers, even more united and positive than ever.

Meeting the creators of tomorrow: the contest

All throughout our journey, we have met professionals from different countries with multiple experiences and we have faced those who work with passion in this sector.
In celebration of our first ten years, we wanted to create a link with the future creators, by imagining an opportunity for young jewellery creators with an opportunity to confront the vision of those who have chosen to walk the professional path.
We are curious to discover the ideas, the creativity and points of view.

In collaboration with the AFEDAP school of Paris, we launched the Contest for the creation of a jewellery that celebrates our 10th anniversary, asking participants to interpret the logo created for the occasion and integrate our latest advertising campaign, Shaping inspiration.

Based on our guidelines, the students have created their own designs creatively using the products of our G-Silver shop combining with their materials such as silk, wool, plexiglass, mother-of-pearl and silicone.
Each student interpreted our brand with a personal vision and a new use of the aspects that characterise us.

It is now time to select the five finalists who will receive a voucher to make their own jewellery piece, evaluated according to the indications provided, the quality of the drawing and the originality and portability of the jewellery.
The vote is entrusted to all our registered customers and to the technical jury that we gathered for the occasion, four figures linked by a deep subject knowledge and experience in the sector: Aline Kokinopoulos, craftswoman and creator of jewellery and objects; Antoine Puygrenier, jeweller and collaborator of G-Silver; Franck Massé, plastic sculptor and co-director of AFEDAP school; Matteo Gemo, founder and director of G-Silver.

The projects of the five finalists will thus become reality and during the month of August, their creations will be the object of a second vote which will take into account the respect of the initial drawing, the technical capacities, the portability of the piece as well as the character and quality of the achievement. The three winning projects will be rewarded at our September event in Paris with the purchase of the jewellery created and a voucher to spend on our online store.

Our story

2009

In 2009, we took our first steps, convinced of the potential that the internet could bring us in a sector still dominated by traditional dynamics. So, we focused on an e-commerce project that did not exist at the time.

Our previous experiences have given us an in-depth knowledge of the jewellery sector and we have learned to be determined, to have the strength to make changes and to pursue our goals with tenacity: in 2009 our company was born and with it our e- trade website for the sale of sterling silver findings and jewellery.
At this time the products were few, the emphasis based on quality. Matteo, the Italian entrepreneur who started this adventure, handles all the orders alone. G-Silver is starting to grow thanks to direct contact with potential customers as well as the first participation in the Italian products sector of Cassis market and the Salon de Provence Christmas market organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Marseille.

2010

Our journey continues in 2010 thanks to a new participation in the Cassis market with the French craftsman Antoine Puygrenier, the first Google campaign and the first discount operation for website orders.

The project is still small and yet it’s already feeding big dreams, "a wooden box" full of hope and the desire to create.

2011

In 2011, we moved into new headquarters in the heart of the city of Marseille, the Longchamp district: a physical place for our digital world.

The orders via our e-commerce are now daily and requests arrive for custom made projects from customers in Marseille and the region who come to visit us. The products are increasing and our team hires the first employee: Audrey.

2012

In 2012 we renew the website with the collaboration of the web agency Kangourouge and we publish the first advertisements in specialised magazines distributed during the Paris trade shows.

2013

The following year comes the time to get equipped with the tools needed by a growing company: commercial management software, the warehouse becomes more and more consistent and we have over three thousand customers registered on our site.

2014

2014 is the year of the new “Beauty in precious details” campaign created by Consonant Studio. It is available on-line and in C + Accessoires and the Bijou Fantaisie Guide magazines.

2015

In 2015, we move into the new offices of Chartreux in Marseille. An open space tailored to our business, larger and better suited to accommodate a growing warehouse and welcome two new recruits Nelly and Marie, to the team.

2016

A new year, a new step towards an ever more extensive and international service: the new website published in 2016 is translated into four languages, our service opens up to the German market and we visit the trade exhibitions in Munich and Hamburg.

2017

From visitors to exhibitors, in 2017 we are present at the Hamburg fair to bring our own vision and make ourselves known. A great adventure that shows us that the internet is at the heart of everything and we give it our best.

2018

In 2018, we open our work shop in Lyon and G-Silver also becomes a manufacturer of Made in France jewellery thanks to BAYOGEM created by Matteo and Antoine. This new service allows us to offer tailor-made high-quality products that, over the years, has always distinguished us in the market.

The year 2018 is also the year of our new advertising campaign “Shaping inspiration” born again with the collaboration with consonant Studio, that we present in magazines and on-line.

We want to welcome the advice and the impressions of those who trust us for their company, so during the year we send our customers a survey about our services: thanks to the information collected, we improve our website with new ergonomics and a new search menu to make it even more convenient and easy when browsing. In addition, we create a more mobile-friendly platform with a responsive, more dynamic and modern design.

2019

In 2019 we are celebrating our tenth birthday we consider the journey so far, the challenges, successes and opportunities have taught us how to do better. We have established the bonds of trust.
