Bae Camille

Describe to us what your first steps in creation were ?
Do you have a short story or anecdote to tell us?
My first steps in creation were with origami. As a child, my father made me an origami frog and blew it up before my eyes by pressing on the back of the frog. This is where I became interested in the art of folding. Then growing up I turned to other forms of creation such as sewing, and finally jewellery.
Do you have a creative project that has pleased you most in your personal, professional or academic career?
Thinking about it I do not really think that there is a creative project that I’ve liked the most (or least) that pleased or satisfied more than another. For me, every project that I do is satisfying and brings a lot of enrichment and fun.

Describe to us what your first steps in creation were ?
Do you have a short story or anecdote to tell us?
I have always been manual, I like to paint, draw …
Then one day ! Like Obelix who had fallen into the magic potion, I fell in the pearls of Tahiti during a two-year stay in French Polynesia. Since 2007 I am a self-taught creator of jewellery made with Tahitian pearls, .
Do you have a creative project that has pleased you most in your personal, professional or academic career?
For 10 years I created and exposed dilettante. But with the frustration of not being able to go further because of lack of techniques, signing up with the AFEDAP was one of my best decisions.
Flavie Liyan Chou

Optimistic, perfectionist, generous.
Describe to us what your first steps in creation were ?
Do you have a short story or anecdote to tell us?
My first steps in creation were in textiles and buttons.
Every time I go to a place where there are pebbles (sea, mountain, beach etc) I pick up one or two pebbles for my travel souvenir collection but I found my boxes bland so I became interested in coloured stones and I realised my dream last year by graduating in Gemmology.
Do you have a creative project that has pleased you most in your personal, professional or academic career?
All the jewellery creations that I have had the opportunity to create have satisfied me and they allow me believe that everything is possible with a lot of creativity and ingenuity.
Hélène Rimbert

I am creative, curious, conscientious.
Describe to us what your first steps in creation were ?
Do you have a short story or anecdote to tell us?
I was a dresser for the high fashion shows, and in particular for Emanuel Ungaro, YSL, Montana, Paco Rabanne, who have always inspired me and given me the desire to create jewellery and fashion accessories.
Do you have a creative project that has pleased you most in your personal, professional or academic career?
At the Afedap, we made a wax leaf pendant and after casting, we made the model from the mould.
Seeing the evolution of our work from beginning to end is indeed inspiring.
Joséphine Monthiers

By asking a relative three adjectives that describe me, she first told me happy, followed by considerate and generous.
I must say that I am also lazy and often postpone, so I always work better at the last minute, under pressure …
Describe to us what your first steps in creation were ?
Do you have a short story or anecdote to tell us?
Already as a little girl I was making jewelllery and doing pottery with my grandmother, later on some clothes …
After high school I integrated a preparation for art school and then the ENSAV La Cambre in textile design.
I also made ceramics with my mother who has a workshop and this is where I was taken to creating jewellery.
Wanting to go further in the work of metal I joined the AFEDAP.
Do you have a creative project that has pleased you most in your personal, professional or academic career?
Last year I went to Japan where for two weeks I did an internship of indigo dye,
this immersion in Japanese culture and the magic of indigo, such a special tinting, inspired me a lot.
Laura Feiereisen

Describe to us what your first steps in creation were ?
Do you have a short story or anecdote to tell us?
The first steps in the creation were probably seeing my father working the wood in my parents the carpentry workshop.
I always liked interior design as well as fashion and jewellery and I was sure I wanted to create my own jewellery brand with my sister Martine.
Do you have a creative project that has pleased you most in your personal, professional or academic career?
I’m a photographer and I took some pictures for Flanelle magazine.
I really liked this shooting that I did together with my sister.
We chose the clothes and she took care of the make-up.
Lucie Coatalen

Patient, active, passionate.
Describe to us what your first steps in creation were ?
Do you have a short story or anecdote to tell us?
I grew up in a family of artists. I tested all kinds of manual and artistic activities. The first jewellery that I made were rings that I made by cutting bamboo slices before cleaning and engraving them.
Do you have a creative project that has pleased you most in your personal, professional or academic career?
I do not consider that I have had enough experience to be really satisfied with any one of my achievements. Although a form of satisfaction can always be felt with the completion of a project.
Marilona Kautzmann

Organised (in my life), dispersed (in my mind) and energetic.
Describe to us what your first steps in creation were ?
Do you have a short story or anecdote to tell us?
The clothes that I designed as a child that I would then ask my seamstress Mother to create.
Do you have a creative project that has pleased you most in your personal, professional or academic career?
If I have to take into consideration the feeling of satisfaction, I’m unable to answer.
But, I do feel a particular pleasure using pieces of sentimental materials that I gather along my path.

Describe to us what your first steps in creation were ?
Do you have a short story or anecdote to tell us?
An amusing anecdote is when I was a kid, I would paint and together with my sister, went door to door to sell the drawings.
Do you have a creative project that has pleased you most in your personal, professional or academic career?
I would say that it’s the shootingsthat I did with my sister.
We always have new ideas that we share and discuss together.
We complement each other well.
